Acquilani

Bring back Acquilani. During the Benitez reign he was injured and never given an opportunity although when he played below full fitness he looked exceedingly good on the ball, excellent touches and intelligent passes. During the the pre-season games for the current season he looked very good and showed an ability in front of goal. He also performed well at international level. He could be sold for £6m at any time so there should be no hurry in selling this talented man who impressed the American owners pre-season.

  • where does he disagree? I have clearly stated that there is absolutely no bad feelings between him and the club/him and Kenny. Still don't see him being a great success here if his heart is with his family in Italy.

personally I felt he could have continued when at the end of Rafa;s last season he looked sharp, but obviously the damage done by hodgson - we should have kept him and he could have been "cover" when Stevie was injured most of last year and part of this..

  • Acquilani staed that he wanted to be with his family - that's fair enough. There's no animosity towards him - everyone can understand. I think we would be better off looking towards players who ARE here and who will be here in the future. I'd love nothing more then for him to return and be awesome. I don't see it happening though.

Get behind the players we have - stop the "if only"s - it's as bad as the judas brigade.

  • the trouble with some of the "fannies" that post on these blogs same as many Lfc forums, they get told an opinion by some pundit or media comment and it sticks in their head, show us the article where HE said he didnt want to play for Lfc or in england... and In almost every game he DID play (once fit) he looked sharp and creative for us, dont care how he plays for Milan or Italy...many of our "legends" could play well for other teams ;)

  • Sorry but that's nonsense - when he played he looked off the pace. He's not good enough for Milan to shell out £6 miilion for him. Doesn't that tell you something. He hasn't been a world beater in Italy either.

Drop it folks - not a premier league player. Not good enough for Milan. Injury prone. Not a solution.
