I Apologize Mr Suarez.

I have to say Luis Suarez has left me with my foot in my mouth after the game against Norwich.

In my last blog I talked about how Suarez wasn't a 20 goal a season striker but was more of a chance creating attacker, but it seems today he proved me wrong.

Norwich were sloppy and he took full advantage of the 4 chances he had, scoring thrice.

Perhaps he could be the 20 goal a season striker we need, and replicate the scoring record he had at Ajax.

I know I seem so weak willed, and have very easily changed my mind, but I don't think we have seen Luis as clinical and accurate as he was today, hopefully it is a sign of what he has to come.

I also noticed that even when shots were being blocked or saved, we seemed to have a higher percentage of shots on target today; no doubt this would be highly focussed on in training.

Props to Jonjo aswell, he seems to be finding his feet.

Luis, apologize for my rash opinion (though no where near as extreme as many "fans"), and I wish you good luck for the next two games especially, bring the FA Cup home!

  • Was a fantastic hat-trick but when he tried to chip Ruddy he should have just slotted it past him. But he more than made up for it with a phenomenal strike, my goal of the season - not biased at all Wink

But I still don't think he's our 20 goal a season striker, his chance conversion rate is only 28% this season and the Premier League average is at 39%.

He could produce something out of nothing like we saw aganst Norwich and as much as I'd like him to be our clinical forward getting 20+ a season, he's far too erratic and wasteful for that to happen IMO.

    I think he's a 15 goal and 15 assist sort of striker.

  • He looks a far better player when he has gerrard behind him , playing in an attacking role :)

Gerrard does well when  he is right behind the strikers playing as a floating mid-fielder...same as when torres was around!!

But it was nice to see suarez getting into his stride and showing up his critics .. i hope he replicates the same in the FA CUP Finals!!
