Hi guys, this is my first blog post. I am a Liverpool fan since i first started watching football, well anyways i hope you like my blog.
Well, it has been 20 years since we have won the PremierLeague, well we never won it, which is odd for a team who are the second most sucessful team in England with 18 English League Titles. Now, in the 2008-2009 season, we lost the league by a mere four points. That season we defeated the champions Manchester United 4-1. We lost 2 games, 2-0 to Boro, 2-1 to Spurs, both away. We never lost at Anfield that season, and we had the least losses. But then, we tied 4-4 with Arsenal at Anfield, which caused us to lose points. Now i can go on and on but we also lost a few key players, and the most important were Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa. Midefielder and a wing-back, two positions where LFC have had problems with over the past few years.
Since 2009-10 we have failed to reach the Champions League, so instead of winning the league, our goals were relegated to getting into the top 4. Honestly, 2009-2010 we got 6th, 2010-2011 we got 7th, and now were 8th. What happens next? 9th? 10th? Relegation? Kenny needs to step it up, he needs to become the manager he was at Rovers when they won the Prem back in '94.
I think the reason we lost the top 4 this season was because we lost Lucas. Full stop.
Lucas Leiva.
After that Chelsea game, we started losing. Yes we had a few amazing games example at Old Trafford vs MU, vs Norwich, Cardiff, Everton, etc. But still, we need some good signings. I think this should be our formation next season (with new signings):
Formation: 4-1-2-1-2
Reina
Johnson Agger Skrtel Enrique
Lucas Leiva
Rasmus Elm/Gaston Ramirez and Downing
Gerrard
Suarez and (please vote in the comments) Giroud (Montpellier) or Luuk De Jong (Ajax) Moses (Wigan) or Matias Suarez (Anderlecht)
Youth Players that should be played:
Raheem Sterling
Jack Robinson
Andre Wisdom
John Flanagan
Suso
Hope we get to the Champions League next season!
Thank you for reading, hope you liked it!

Sobertini, 1 year ago | FlagThe Defence of Carragher who over the last 3 or so seasons has been found out massively for lack of pace, strength and his actual football playing ability has always been mid-table (see his collection of long hoofs up the pitch). Arbeloa, you mean the guy that kept Messi quiet in the Nou camp when we played them and the guy currently playing for Real Madrid. That in itself is not an honest assessment.
50million costly failed stadium plan and wasted money spent this year has put us in a precarious position to say the least. If the following doesn't happen, next season will be no different.
- KD stepping down or getting rid of some of HIS flops admitting defeat and stopping the stubborness. Begging for more money on top of the fees raised (which will be about a quarter of what was paid) and buying the quality we all know we need.
- Also stopping this obsession with our past accomplishments as a reason we may still be feared, as 5 home wins have shown we aren't. \
- Also stopping the obsession with home grown messiahs are going to bring the good old days back and get back to business, Football is now a world game accept everyone is local not just inadepqaute local lads and embrace talent as just that.
It's annoying just to state the obvious and what everyone else is thinking
