Robin Van Persie

Undoubtedly this guy has enormous talent but he clearly struggles when things are not going his way, he is arrogant, moody and not much of a sportsman at all.

Watched him against Newcastle and he tried setting up a punch up at fulltime with Krol, and tonight he tried to get Caldwell embroiled in some afters at fulltime.

In no way does this defend Young but when Wenger starts spouting about cheats and bad sportsmanship he should look at himself and his star player. After losing tonight to a brave Wigan team Wenger walked off down the tunnel without shaking Martinez's hand, totally classless yet again, a bad loser I can understand but this lack of integrity is shocking.

As for Van Persie great finisher, not such a great person , bad sportsman, or a man who deals with any adversity very well, part of me hopes the next player he wants to take on at full time is his fellow Dutch international De Jong.

  • Boy that was an eye opener. Thank you. And Arsene has been known for his unsportmanlike attitude before. Very bad...I don't think I like Arsenal now.

  • How are people amazed that A.Wenger didn't shake hands? he never does when things go wrong for his 'choirboys'. He is without doubt the most ungracious little man i have ever seen in football! We all remember the incident with KK and many other managers! He never ever sees an incident when it's his player at fault yet screams blue murder if anyone looks at his player the wrong way!

A horrible man with very little integrity whatsoever, RVP could be his son the way he acts too!

  • Give Carroll a chance until end of this season. Play him in every coming premiere league games and we see how he has improved or not both in scoring and mentality. Sell him if he could not prove he is a worthy player by end of this season. I personally don't like to see his bad performances (both in scoring and character) continue into next season.

I would like to see great Liverpool player in the making rather than seeing a childish character developing here. And after all, he is not performing. Carroll's goal in the match against Everton was good, thanks to him, but we should not blind ourselves that he was not performing up to a top flight player's quality during the match, Suarez is.

Get RVP to partner with Suarez, Kuyt, and Bellamy. He is a good option.

  • @WEWILLRETURN: I disagree with your comments in regards to selling henderson and carroll - both have far more great years ahead of them then RVP has.

I did not watch the game, but I'm amazed to hear that Wenger did not shake Martinez's hand - what a douche. You should at least have the decency to shake a man's hand in the act of fair play. I personally have never liked Arsene Wenger and this is just another reason that emphasises why.

  • This season is his peak performance. Next season he'll go down and down until his time to hang his boots.
