The Final, and Steven Gerrard

We left it too late, and it payed costly, on the carroll header i just wanna say that how is mata's given as a goal (vs Spurs) and carroll not even discussed between the ref and the linesmans

Steven Gerrard must be really annoyed! He knows his career is slowly coming to an end and for him to be playing around players like Henderson, Spearing must be tough (players that have potential mabye for the future, but aren't there yet at all)..his time is ticking away I really feel so sorry for him. He needs players excellent in the present. His my favourite footballer period! and it hurts me to know that he might not ever get a deserved epl medal..

Im really sad about today, after his tragic injuries in the past year..he could've got lifted an FA CUP in Wembley. 

Next year we must win the Europa League!

Next year we must win the Carling Cup, the FA Cup, and The EPL.

We are Liverpool Football Club dammit! This should always be possible for us. Fix it over the summer, and lets go for it.

  • looking to next season all i can say is we should have an all or nothing attitude. The EPL should be the priority, but the cups are important to focus on if the league form suffers like this season. We need to spend another  £40-50m (net spend after players sales) but this money should be spent on 2-3 players that can walk into the first team especially a creative midfielder and right winger... if we hold on to Kuyt we dont need to worry about a striker.

  • @kev-redz Spearing was biggest issue? He started well until Gerrard started dropping back. Gerrard's dropping back meant Henderson went out right and Bellemy moved into the centre. before that the midfield was over packed and with neither Henderson or Gerrard going forward most of the passes were square or backwards. Now Gerrard was supposed to play higher up and the moving of bellemy and Henderson showed that. The problem was Henderson should have been told to get forward more as Gerrard dropped back. But to most people on here the problems were henderson, downing, spearing because that's what they were told to believe by the press and internet blogs.

  • irishred77@belive me gerrard knows where he plays if he was supposed to play 2nd striker role he would play it but nooo,he played more like defensive midfielder and that was more than wrong bevause hendo and spearing couldn't fight with chelsea midfield alone and than with stevie down suarez haven't any support

  • Irish red how was gerrard the biggets issue? did you watch the Match? spearinh was the biggest issue and Henderson was not very secure hence gerrard had to drop back and not attack
